Post-Oxford, however, I thought about Seattle a lot. For you see, I had met a few extraordinary people from the Northwest who all raved about the place. Coffee, melancholy weather, food, farmer's markets... it sounded perfect. So a friend and I decided on what was clearly more than a whim to uproot ourselves to Seattle after we graduated.
I'm now graduated and successfully (...) transplanted in Seattle. I have one room of a charming house in Capitol Hill. It is within walking distance of coffee shops, a beautiful park, and possibly a Trader Joe's. Oh, I know the Trader Joe's is there and less than a mile away. But my previous ignorance of the city's topography had the hills come as a surprise, and the route to Trader Joe's requires a steep little hike.
But I have plans. Oh such plans. The adventures that shall ensue once I have paychecks will be perfect blog fodder. So prepare yourselves to be jealous and pray I get a job soon.
