I am very fond of taking pictures that are basically just close-ups of stuff. It would be amazing if I could afford a macro lens, but I can't. Maybe someday in the future if my etsy store ever takes off. Anyway, as it should be, the beach is wet, which prohibited me from laying on the ground as I normally would to get these pics. So most of these were an experiment in how well I could take pictures without being able to see through the viewfinder. In other words, I held the camera out, vaguely pointed at what I wanted a picture of, and clicked the button. Voila. Good for me, I have ridiculous talent. (AKA I get lucky.)
This week is going to a sea-themed week for me. Tomorrow I am beginning an art quest to learn how to decorate sugar cookies. I borrowed some cookie cutters from a friend at work and they are all sea creatures and such. So look for that post later this week. But for now I just want to share some pictures I just took of seaweed at the beach!
